Tammy Lynn Dukes, 47 of Dawson Springs passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026, at University of Louisville Hospital. Born September 4, 1978, to the late Jimmy and Kathleen (Austin) Abbott, Sr. Tammy enjoyed being outdoors and soaking up the simple pleasures in life. Time with her family, especially her grandchildren, made her heart full. Tammy will be greatly missed by her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Tina Marie Allen.
Survived by her husband of 26 years, John Dukes; 3 children, Devin Dukes of Dawson Springs, Macey Dukes of Louisville and Mariah Dukes of Dawson Springs; 2 grandchildren, Camden Lane Dukes and Myles Alexander Dukes; and 3 brothers, Jimmy Abbott, Jr. of Dawson Springs, Harry T. (Carole) Hudson of Cadiz and Barry Hudson of Hopkinsville.
Service will be held Thursday, August 13th at 1:00pm at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Raymond Farmer officiating. Burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in St. Charles. Visitation will be held from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Greg Owen, Bubby Allen, Lum Littlepage, Ricky Stanley, Cameron Tegge and Camron Crick. Honorary pallbearer, Camden Dukes.
