A Madisonville man is facing three charges for the way he was driving. The officer notified Devon Hall during the traffic stop on East Arch Street that his Jeep Compass was not registered, that his driver’s license was suspended, and that he was not using his seat belt.
The police department often is notified of intoxicated persons. At a residence on East Center Street, Teneka Edwards only had one shoe on and could not stand up straight. After she admitted to the police that she had previously smoked cocaine, Edwards was transported to the detention center.

The report of a trespassing incident is what brought the police to an East Jagoe Street residence. They located Chelsea Gibson and were told she entered the residence uninvited. Gibson was found seated in the driver’s seat of the caller’s vehicle with a bottle of whiskey. The police say Gibson was unsteady on her feet and that she slurred her words. She faces four charges, including criminal trespassing.
The state senator representing Hopkins, Union, Webster, and Henderson counties believes Kentucky’s elections are accessible, safe and secure. Robby Mills even says they are in the top ten in the country in those areas. Kentucky’s Secretary of State agrees. Michael Adams says Kentucky has received no information from federal agencies, classified or otherwise, to suggest the elections are not secure.
Kentucky has a new safety law. Here it is: drivers must stop for a school or church bus displaying its stop arm, and, flashing red lights from either direction on all roads. If you are traveling in the opposite direction, you do not have to stop on roads with four or more lanes that is separated by an elevated barrier or an unpaved median.
Kentucky Congressman James Comer is a solid proponent of the Save America Act. On the House floor, he said voter requirements in the Save America Act are commonsense solutions.
Mr. Comer says it’s easier to cheat when no I-D’s are involved.
The Green River Area Development District says the next workshop will involve Blueprint Kentucky and the Kentucky Brownfield Program. The Brownfield Workshop will focus on bringing new life to underused properties. The free event will be on on July 30th.
