The Madisonville police are reporting the arrest of a reckless driver. The police saw Loren McKinney fail to stop at a stop sign and fail to use his turn signal. They also said he was doing 50 in a 25-mile-an-hour zone. The traffic stop took place at South Main and Lake Street. McKinney admitted that he had been drinking and was placed under arrest after failing a sobriety test. McKinney faces six charges, including speeding and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

In Kentucky, Republicans say their party is growing. Since Governor Beshear’s election, there are 311-thousand less Democrats, and 151-thousand more Republicans. The Republicans say everywhere you look across the Commonwealth, there are fewer Democrats than there were just a few years ago.
