Amalee “Ann Frederick Hampton, 93

Amalee “Ann” Frederick Hampton, 93, of Madisonville, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. She was born on December 18, 1932, to the late Davis Frederick and Bonnie Villines Frederick. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Wayne Hampton; two stepdaughters, Kathy (Larry) Terrell and Theresa Forbes; four sisters, Edna (Cyril) Winstead, Roetta (James) Towe, Francis (C.B.) Winstead and Mary Winstead; and one brother, George (Mary Lou) Frederick. Amalee retired from South Central Bell as a telephone operator and was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. In her free time, she loved quilting. She is survived by her daughter, Martha (Darrell) Thomas of Madisonville; one brother, Curt (Barbara) Frederick of Madisonville; one sister, Sandra (Donald) Harmon of Henderson, KY; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home – Madisonville Chapel with Terry Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, July 24, 2026, and from 9:00 A.M. until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
