Obituary

Kenneth “Kenny” Ray Bourland, 75, of Hanson, KY, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at his home.He was born on February 17, 1951, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Annie Pearl Vannoy Bourland and James Harold Bourland. He worked for twenty-one years at Ruby Concrete and for twenty-three years for the Hopkins County Fiscal Court as a road department supervisor. He enjoyed feeding hummingbirds, hunting, fishing, watching Gunsmoke, and playing online card games. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Kenny was a member of Pritchett’s Chapel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Bourland, Harold Bourland, and Steve Bourland; and his sisters, Linda Mallory, Kathy Johnson, and Nancy Brunson.

His survivors include his wife of forty-one years, Angela “Kay’ Todd Bourland; sons, Kevin Bourland of Iowa and Brian Bourland of Hanson, KY; daughters, Krystal (Amanda) Woody of North Carolina and Tabitha (Charlie) Adamson of Hanson, KY; brothers, Jerry (Sherri) Bourland of Earlington, KY, and Donald “Duck” (Julie) Bourland of Madisonville; sisters, Sandy Walker and Karen (Wesley) Holmes, both of Madisonville; eighteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Jackson officiating and Pastor Steve Terry assisting. Burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Madisonville.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brian Bourland, Charlie Adamson, Dalton Adamson, Bret Adamson, Bobby Todd, and James Arnold. Honorary pallbearers are Donovan Harris and Justin Cates.
