Obituary

Michelle Grider Smith, 52, of Hanson, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.She was born on February 22, 1974, in Springfield, MO, to Judy Coats Grider and the late Billy Grider. She graduated with a bachelors degree in culinary arts. She was employed as a culinary chef with the Compass Group at Baptist Health Deaconess. Cooking and baking was her passion. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Her survivors include her husband, Chad Smith; mother, Judy Coats Grider; daughters, Mason Patrick and Destini Price, both of Branson, MO; son, Seth Price of Branson, MO; sisters, Melinda Grider and Melissa Grider, both of Branson, MO; grandchildren, Luca Price and Sailor Patrick; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Butler Funeral Home in Boliver, MO, date and time to be determined. Harris Funeral Home was entrusted with care.
