Media reports indicate that the Madisonville car dealership that recently went out of business has a new owner. Adrian Nissan at 18-01 Lantaff Boulevard says it is ready to make good on all of the financial obligations owed to the employees. The new owners say the employees who want their old jobs back can have them. It’s reported that the dealership will not fully reopen until repairs are made.
It so happened that a Madisonville cop spotted a motorist make a dangerous turn. During the traffic stop of Kaleb Hendrickson, it was found that his driver’s license was suspended. On the police report, the officer described how he had prreviously stopped Hendrickson for a similar incident. Hendrickson was placed under arrest and transported to the county jail.
Sometimes, a restaurant wants the police to come and remove a customer. Michael Stanley was not only removed, he was arrested for showing up at Papa John’s at 92 Madison Square Drive. A year ago, the police gave him a trespass warning and told not to return to the address.
When the Madisonville City Council meets this afternoon at 4:30, they will hear the first reading of the budget for the new fiscal year that begins on July 1st. It will estimate revenues and resources and appropriate funds for the operation of the city. The meeting will be in the city council chambers at 77 North Main Street.

The Madisonville police are reporting the arrest of a burglar that asaulted her victim. They say Anastasia Payton crawled through the window of the apartment in the 900 block of North Kentucky Avenue and began hitting the resident with a tree limb. Once the resident was outside, Payton used a broom to break the glass of an exterior window. Payton is also charged with Domestic Violence and Criminal Mischief.
In Providence, the police department is addressing complaints about sales people going from door to door. They say they have reports about the Fox Pest Control representative being pushy and adamant about needing credit card information. The company says they are addressing the situation.
The state is upgradng public safety technology. 9-1-1 is being improved. Spokesperson Amy Hess says it’s called Next Generation 9-1-1, or N-G 9-1-1.
Webster County residents are receiving free health services through the 21st . Innovative Readiness Training is a military training mission for patients, ages 3 and up on a first-come, first-served basis at the high school. Offered are medical services, dental, optometry, mental health, audiology, physical therapy and even vet services. The mission serves as a military training opportunity.
