Allen Wayne Woodruff, 78

Allen Wayne Woodruff ,78, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.

He was born in St. Charles, KY on August 19,1947 to the late Bernard Woodruff and Mable Teague.

He was of the Christian faith and served as a deacon at Lake Grove Church in St. Charles and First General Baptist in Madisonville, KY.

He enjoyed singing , and liked classic cars and UK basketball.

Allen had worked as a backhoe operator for Evans Excavating and Byrum Excavating.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lyndall Woodruff and Joe Woodruff; sister, Betty Morris; two nephews; and two nieces.

Allen is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Susie Woodruff of Madisonville, KY; two sons, Tommy (Ann) Woodruff of Madisonville, KY and Mark Woodruff of Madisonville, KY; three grandchildren, Nathan (Brittany) Woodruff, Tyler (Hope) Woodruff, and Kylie Woodruff; great grandchildren, Sophia and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 1:00pm at Reid Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Rev. Nathan Woodruff officiating, and burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville, KY.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 10:00am until service time at 1:00pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Woodruff, Billy Woodruff, Tate Byrum, Jagger Byrum, Mike Byrum, and Wesley Byrum.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Kylie Woodruff and Mark Woodruff.
