The state police are investigating multiple school bomb threats. They’re working with local law enforcement agencies. So far, none of the threats has been deemed credible. They it seems that theymay be linked to a robo-calling campaign. Since these threats are illegal, the K-S-P says they will investigate each incident and hold those responsible accountable.
The state senator representing four counties, including Hopkins, says he is supporting Daniel Cameron for the U-S Senate. Robby Mills says Daniel is an experienced Christian leader that understands the needs of Kentuckians and will make us all proud as our voice in the U.S. Senate. The primary election is May 19th.

The governor is hoping the U-S Congress will follow his lead in reducing the cost of gas. Andy Beshear says with help from Congress and Kentucky’s Attorney General, the price of a gallon of gas could be reduced by nearly 29 cents. The governor says Americans need relief from rising prices. Inflation has hit a 3-year high.
Some residents of Mortons Gap are not receiving their bills. The city says they are going out as usual by the first of the month. Those not receiving their bills should phone the city. They say it could be an issue with the postal service. The city says residents not receiving a bill are still responsible for paying it. The Hopkins County Jail will soon be offering some faith-based opportunities. There will be separate Foundations of Faith weekend retreats for men and women. The programs will be led by the jail’s chaplains, Janice Moore and Pete Phelan. Moore and Phelan say opportunities like these would not be possible without the continued support and involvement of the county’s churches.
The Green River Area Development District wants you to know that Henderson Community College has received a check from the Delta Regional Authority for a hands-on lab for a new Electrical Technology Program. The new lab will give students real-world training opportunities and help build a skilled workforce. It’s located in the Sandy Watkins Lab.
