Guy Gibbons Obituary
Rev. Guy Raymond Gibbons, 88, of Nortonville, KY passed away on Thursday March 19, 2026 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY.
He was born on September 25, 1937 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to the late Owen “Jack” Gibbons, Sr. and Mattie Beatrice Gibbons.
Guy was of the Baptist faith. He had served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran having served four tours. Guy was a retired Baptist Minister and he loved God, Family and Country.
He was retired from the United States Air Force and from GE where he had worked as a Maintenance Foreman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye Gibbons; two sisters, Gertie Martin and Sarah Elizabeth Gentry; one brother, Owen Gibbons; and stepfather Joe “Buster” Gibbons.
Guy is survived by his son, Troy Gibbons of Nortonville, KY; one brother, Bobby Gibbons of Mortons Gap, KY; two grandchildren Kylie Gibbons and Tori Gibbons; two great grandchildren Zoe Wall and Kylan Drennan; and several nieces and nephews
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 1:00PM at Old Salem Church Cemetery in Mortons Gap, KY with Rev. Nick Duvall officiating. Military Rites graveside will be provided by the United States Air Force and Hopkins County Honor Guard.
Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY is in charge of the arrangements.
