Spencer Lee Witt, 74

Spencer Lee Witt, 74, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. He was born May 25, 1951 in Salem, IN to Spencer Witt and Myrtle Lee Witt. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his ten brothers and sisters. Spencer worked as a coal miner. He was a member of the UMWA here in Madisonville. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, and looking at cars and tractors. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ethel Medrano Witt of Madisonville; three daughters, Chrissy Lynn of Lexington, KY, Tana Shae (Brian) Orten of Winsboro, LA, and Kimberly Dawn (Charlie) of Madisonville; three step daughters, Jennifer Marie (Eddie) Lindsey of Cadiz, KY, Donna Marie Kelley of Dawson Springs, KY, and Laura Marie (Jonathan) Beale of Evansville, IN; one step-brother, Robert Rhye of Madisonville; his six sisters; his sister in law, Barbara Sullivan of Glasgow, KY; his two brother in laws, Randy (Jennifer) Medrano of Glasgow and Bob (Debbie) Mathieu of Hopkinsville, KY; one niece, Christy Mathieu of Hopkinsville; and twenty grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday February 24, 2026 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home – Madisonville Chapel with Rev. Michael Orton officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
