Obituary
She was born on February 1, 1940, in Greenville, SC, to the late Sadie Elizabeth Dodson Manley and Roscoe Manley. She was formerly employed by Canteen Corporation. She enjoyed knitting, embroidery, bingo, and lovingly cared for animals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She attended Madisonville First Assembly of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Kathy Moore and Donna Anderson; and her sisters, Helen Louise Green and Betty Sue Neighbors.
Her survivors include her son, George Phillips Jr. of Madisonville; grandchildren, Angelia (Nick) Thompson, Michelle (David) Lohse, John (Allison) Moore, Brittany (Eric) McCoy, Kayla (Zach) Belknap, Trey Phillips, and Matthew (Brandi) Phillips; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; Alan McCurry, who she considered as a son; and her dog and companion, Chloe.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Allen officiating. Burial will be held at Old Salem Cemetery in Mortons Gap, KY as the weather permits.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are John Moore, Barry Moore, Eric McCoy, Matthew Phillips, Trey Phillips, and Tyler Lohse.
