The state says price gouging can show up in times like this. Attorney General Russell Coleman says Kentucky law defines price gouging as a charge that is more than 10 percent above the price prior to the emergency. Goods and services covered by the price gouging law include food, gasoline, natural gas, heating oil, shelter, transportation, emergency cleanup, and the list goes on. Not much has occurred yet, but State Representative Wade Williams says Madisonville is poised to experience major growth, just as many other communities around the country that have that have interstate highway service like Madisonville.
Every two years in the Hopkins County Schools, the Family Resource and Youth Services Coalition of Kentucky conduct a statewide survey to gather input on the program’s efforts to impact educational success. In Madisonville, the driver who attempted to lose a police officer on South Main is facing seven charges. A check of Tonya Bennett’s records indicated she had no insurance. The drug dog Arkham sniffed out methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia in her possession. She was arrested on drug trafficking charges and transported to the detention center.
Every three years, the Green River Area Development District Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living is required to submit a new plan. In preparation for the public hearing, seniors are encouraged to review the plan and provide feedback or comments. The hearing is this morning at 10 in Owensboro at the GRADD Office at 300 GRADD Way.
The Kentucky Department of Revenue begins accepting state individual income tax returns today. Refunds will go out starting a week from today. Today, the I-R-S also begins accepting tax returns.

As Muhlenberg County continues to face housing needs, the consensus is to evaluate all of the alternatives.
