Obituary
He was born on February 14, 1951, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Lucille Ipock Demoss and George Morse. He was formerly employed as a coal truck driver for Christian County Coal. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. James was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters.
His survivors include his fiancée, Serena Majors of Dawson Springs, KY; his children, Rita (John) Henson Lincoln, IL, Laura Weldon of Seymour, IN, Joey (Diane) Lamb of Morganton, NC, Dawn (James) McCrady of Seymour, IN, Lucinda (David) Branch of Morganton, NC, and Jamey (Angel) Morse of Ilsley, KY; sisters, Mary Gunn, Darlene (Frankie) Cotton, Martha Cotton, and Rhonda (Ricky) Hamby; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; best friend, Donnie (Machelle) Bowling of Elizabethtown, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Frankie Cotton officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
