Obituary
He was born on August 7, 1942, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Mildred Alice Hatler Williams (birthplace, Hopkins County, KY) and Clifford “Bigboy” Ray Williams, Sr (birthplace, Chesapeake, WV). He was formerly employed as a UPS driver. He enjoyed bow shooting, fishing, and golfing. Strother had many hobbies and interests. For several years, he would get some guys together and bowl on a league at Melody Lanes then enjoy some challenging bumper pool with Eddie Ballard. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Stroh was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Anna “Tootsie” Kwiatkowski, Clara Mae Lindstrom, Juanita Deaton Cates, Hilda Bruce Gammon, Elizabeth Reynolds Nevitt, James Morton Williams, Roy Douglas Williams, Clifford Ray “Sonny” Williams, Jr., Williams Edward Williams, and Thurman “Lee” Williams.
He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Faye Marks Williams of Madisonville; his children, Rebecca (Lawrence) Rhodes of Bremen, KY, Dawn Renee (Jason) Hunt of Madisonville, Bradley (Amelia) Williams of Madisonville; stepson, Jody Miller of Bumpus Mills, TN; several grandchildren; his step-grandson, Ethan Miller of Bumpus Mills, TN; and several great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
