Webster County Emergency Management says an A-T-V driver is missing. It’s in the Diamond area, potentially near the “T” intersection off Bill Dorris Road. The person has been missing since Wednesday night or early Thursday. Contact authorities if you have information.
The Madisonville police have some details about a Monday night disturbance. They were told that Devron Taylor appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Taylor told the cops that he wanted to fight them. He is charged with disorderly conduct, terroristic threatening, and fourth-degree assault.
It’s not surprising to know that Madisonville’s highest priority road project is Whittington Drive. City Engineer Justin Lamb says the new shopping center just off Island Ford Road is attracting lots of vehicles. (Clip in audio below)
A White Plains church will be giving away full Thanksgiving meals on Sunday the 23rd. Concord Missionary Baptist Church will be handing out hot meals in the parking area of the White Plains Community Center by the walking track. The food will be served from 4 until 5 o’clock, or until all of the food is gone. The church is located at 251 Concord Church Road. Only those in the vehicles will be served.
The countdown to Deck the Park is on. Most of the work is done. They say this year’s edition is bigger and brighter than ever. Deck the Park is free. It runs from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day from 5 until 9 each evening.
It is possible to smell gas and not be able to confirm it with a gas monitor. That occurred one afternoon recently with the Madisonville Fire Department at a residence on East Lake Street.
In Hopkins County, this fall has seen the Madisonville Lions Club do many free vision screenings, but they’re not yet done. The Lions Club says tomorrow, the 22nd is the day of the community eye screening event for children ages 3 to17. Check the ParentSquare forms for details.

A number of jailers across the state are mourning the death of Caldwell County Jailer Willie Harper. They describe him as a dedicated leader who served his county with integrity, compassion, and a genuine love for the people he worked with. They say Harper’s commitment to his community and his devotion to his family defined the way he lived and the way he led.
