Obituary
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Collins Hewlett; brothers, Thomas “Tom” Dewitt Hewlett, Jr. and Lemual “Lemmie” Edward Hewlett; and his sister, Gladys Hewlett Kelley.
His survivors include his wife, Betty Hewlett of Madisonville; daughters, Laura (John) Hewlett Tichenor of Madisonville and Sara (Jim) Hewlett Dugan of Cincinnati, OH; stepdaughter, Leeann (Greg) Flener of Madisonville; stepson, Robert (Lois) Winsett of Albany, KY; grandchildren, Andrea (Jay) Reeves, Lauren (Ashley) Dugan, and Ryan Dugan, all of Cincinnati, OH, and Ellen (Logan Howe) Tichenor of Madisonville; four step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Chaplain Nick Duvall officiating. Burial to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force and the Hopkins County Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are John Tichenor, Jim Touris, Jay Reeves, Ryan Dugan, Logan Howe, and Jeff Miller.
