Obituary
He was born on January 19, 1948, in Short Creek, KY, to the late Elsie Duncan Green and Wallace Green. He was a proud Vietnam veteran of the United States Army. He was formerly employed by Birmingham Bolt and retired from Dana Corporation in Hopkinsville, KY. He enjoyed watching basketball and he loved the outdoors, fishing, and watching hummingbirds. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Jimmy attended Grace Life Church in Crofton, KY.
His survivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Diana Vaughn Green; daughter, Melissa Guy of Nortonville; son, Michael Green of Nortonville; grandchildren, Austin Dietz, Peyton Dietz, and Cameron Guy; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Maggie, Maisley, Chloe, and Prissy.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Conley officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Hopkins County Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
