Randall “Randy” Lee Workman, 74, of Hanson, KY, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville. He was born November 8, 1951 in Lexington, KY to Carolyn Chenoweth Workman and the late William G. Workman. Randy had worked for Ligon Specialized Haulers, where he eventually retired from administration. He was a US Navy veteran. After his military service, he attended and graduated from Michigan State University where he met his now-wife, Joyce. Randy was active in the Hopkins County Bass Club and loved giving his time by volunteering for Habitat for Humanity Pennyrile Region. He was also active in the pickleball scene in western Kentucky. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joyce Sucaet Workman; son, Corey (Anna) Workman; mother, Carolyn Workman; grandchildren, Ian, David, and Catherine Workman; sister, Rebecca (Susan) Workman; brothers, Glenn (Mary) Workman and Daniel Workman; along with several nieces and nephews. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 21st, 2026 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville. A memorial service will be held privately for the family at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Habitat for Humanity – Pennyrile Region at 43 S Daves St. Madisonville, KY 42431.
