Delores “Jean” Babb Pharris, 83, of Slaughters, KY, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.
She was born on June 1, 1942, in Madisonville, KY, to the late Ruth Coomes Babb and Sidney Lee Babb. She retired from G.E. in Madisonville. She enjoyed word puzzles, sewing, and riding in her side by side. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Jean was a member of Olive Branch Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Babb; and her great-grandson, Devin Thompson.
Her survivors include her husband of sixty-seven years, Charles Pharris of Slaughters; children, Renita Henderson, Vicky (Ray) Jones, Cindy McConnell, Casandra (Robert) Thomson, all of Slaughters, and Felisha Thompson of Murray, KY, Michael (Amanda) Gish of Manitou, KY, Shawnda Daugherty of Henderson, KY, and Greg Gish of Daytona, FL; brother, James (Leisa) Babb of Providence, KY; sister, Linda Oldham of Providence, KY; eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Olive Branch Church, 400 Olive Branch Church Road in Hanson, KY with Pastor Gary Taylor officiating and Bro. Bobby Gibson assisting. Burial to follow at Olive Branch Church Cemetery in Hanson.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday at Olive Branch Church.
Pallbearers are Brad Jones, Michael Gish, Matt Thomson, Jason McConnell, Rustin Knoth, and Lee Cook
