Martha Gamblin Obituary
Martha Kay Gamblin, 73 of Madisonville passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess with her husband at her side. Born January 8, 1952, to the late Randolph Woodrow Lovelace and the late Elizabeth Louise (Kingery) Gray. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was previously a member of Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church. Martha was a Registered Nurse and retired after 23 years of service with Baptist Health Hospital before dedicating 15 years to the City of Madisonville as the employee nurse. She enjoyed doing things for her family such as cooking, sewing and crafts; and she enjoyed reading. Her family was blessed with her very calm, caring and loving personality which made her house a home.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Sammy Dale Gray.
Survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Danny Gamblin; 3 sons, Adam (Layne) Gamblin of North Dakota, Aaron (Mandy) Gamblin of Madisonville and Andrew Gamblin of Madisonville; 10 grandchildren, Liam, Eli, Moira, Ainsley, Laurel, Gretchen, Gwyneth, Bella, Maddie and Emma Gamblin; brother, Thomas (June) Lovelace; brother-in-law, Dwight (Rhonda) Gamblin of Mortons Gap; sister-in-law, Patricia (Buddy) Latham of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday at Bandy Funeral Home in Nortonville with Bro. Bill Bursztynski officiating. Burial to follow at Gamblin Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00pm – 7:00pm and on Thursday from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home.
