On Saturday, November 22, 2025, Jean Gill of Madisonville went home to be with the Lord at the age of 95. She was born to the late Jesse Wallace and Mary Elizabeth Owens Wallace in Fairfield, IL on November 10, 1930. She was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Jean was an active prayer warrior. She was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church. She had many titles, including pastor’s wife and Sunday School teacher. Jean sang in the choir, worked with the Little Bethel Association; and had great love of giving her time. She also spent her free time being an artist and seamstress. All the time she spent with her family she made sure was special. Jean was a loving wife and caretaker, sharing her love for God. She is survived by her three children; Debi (Bill) Vance of Jackson, TN; Mark (Debbie) Gill of Grand Rivers, KY and Joy Gill of Madisonville, KY; five grandchildren, Casey Cobb; Cathy Windham; Evan Faulk; Shana Gill and Brendan Gill; fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Tuesday at the Grapevine Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Partin officiating. Burial will be private at Alexander Memorial Park in Evansville, IN. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations can be made to Grapevine Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
