Nighttime work on a 5-mile section of I-69 in Madisonville continues. The milling and paving is from mile point 113 to 118. The job is not expected to be finished until the end of the month.
The crew is working a 12-hour shift beginning at 6 PM.
The city of Madisonville will stage a meeting for small business owners. The Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Corporation, and Tourist and Convention Commission says it will be at city hall on Friday the 25th.
Hopkins County’s state senator is in Indianapolis at the Social Conservative Conference. Robby Mills says his participation in the Statesmen Academy is an opportunity to hear from national experts on several Christian worldview issues.
In case you haven’t heard, it’s generally assumed that Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear is the most popular Democratic governor in the country. He also is featured in the latest issue of Vogue Magazine that’s entitled What’s Next for Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear? After his recent visit to South Carolina, speculation has increased about his chances of being a potential presidential candidate.
The Kentucky congressman heading up the House Oversight Committee says there was a conspiracy to cover up President Biden’s cognitive decline. (Clip in audio below) James Comer appeared on Newmax and said that the committee is working at a rapid pace to provide the American people with answers.
The governor says the counties affected by the April flooding and May tornadoes will be receiving public assistance. Mr. Beshear says he spoke with the president and that was his message. The governor adds that this support is essential to helping Kentucky’s counties rebuild.
Only one working headlight has resulted in many traffic stops. When this happened recently on East Broadway, Juan Gomez was found not be in possession of a driver’s license. Gomez’s next stop was the county jail.
The housing crisis not only involves Hopkins County, but virtually every county in the country. On Coalfield Comments, Chad Menser of Farmer’s Bank and Trust gave a suggestion. It’s time again to help the children of Hopkins County with school supplies. The Madisonville police say their 12th Annual Cram the Cruiser Event will be on Saturday, the 26th, at the Hanson Walmart from 8 until 2. The cops say if you can’t make it, you can drop off the school supplies or monetary donations anytime at the police department on Center Street.
