Arthur Marion Simmons, 87, of Morton’s Gap, KY passed away on Wednesday July 2, 2025 at his residence. He was born on May 6, 1939 in Rumsey, KY to the late Granville Simmons and Alaina Simmons. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Simmons; and his two sons, Michael Dale Simmons and William Shane Sizemore. Arthur served in the Korean War, and worked as a truck driver. When he wasn’t on the road working, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing with his grandchildren at the park, and going to church. He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Lynn Simmons of Nortonville; his step-daughter, Starr Dawn Sizemore of Madisonville, KY; one brother, Wendell (Glenda) Simmons of Madisonville; six grandchildren, Michael Simmons, Eryn Robinson, Sydnee Sizemore, Lilly Simmons, Dustin Drake, and Gauge Terry; and one great-grandchild, Sevyn Skimehorn. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. at West Lawn Cemetery in Hanson, KY with Donnie Neal officiating.
