In Providence, all water customers are under an advisory until further notice. The boil advisory was prompted by a water main break. The boil advisory requires residents to bring the water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, or oral hygiene. The city says there is a limited supply of bottled water for residents.
Baptist Health Deaconess is beginning an interventional pain management clinic to help patients addicted to opiods. The fiscal court has voted to purchase a 34-thousand dollar device known as a radiofrequency ablation. The device uses radio waves to create heat and destroy or disrupt tissue, typically to relieve pain or treat certain medical conditions. Here is Cheryl Arnold of Baptist Health. (Clip in audio below)
Kentucky’s housing shortage is being examined. The Kentucky Housing Corporation has data showing that this is an issue all across the Commonwealth. Builders and policymakers say inflation, rising interest rates, labor shortages, and infrastructure costs are the major factors. The Task Force Co-Chair says the task force is preparing for its next meeting on the 28th. Senator Robby Mills says members are refining their proposals for January’s general session. The housing shortage is projected to exceed 287-thousand units by 2029.
The city of Madisonville is announcing a few schedule changes due to the holiday. The Transfer Station and Public Access Scales at 900 McCoy Avenue will close this morning at 11. Friday’s Trash and Recycle route will be collected today with Thursday’s regular route.
A loud argument is what drew the police the Willow Run Apartments on Princeton Road on Monday night. The property damage included broken windows. After getting a description of the vehicle, Victoria Ward wrecked it and attempted to flee on foot. After she had been given a sobriety test, officers located opened alcoholic beverages in the vehicle, as well as suspected marijuana and meth pipes. When Terry Graham returned to the apartment, he was questioned by the police and ended up being charged with trespassing. Ward faces 7 charges. They include leaving the scene of an accident.

What happens when a plumber stirs up a little dust in the wrong place? Well, at M-C-C the other day, that’s what happened at the John H. Gray Building. The dust activated the fire alarm that brought out the fire deparment to 200 College Drive. There was no fire and that’s what the firemen prefer.
