Obituary
He was born on May 20, 1946, in Evansville, IN, to the late Ila Gifford Young and Harry Lee Davis, Sr. He was a proud Vietnam veteran of the United States Army. He retired after twenty-two years from U.C. Milk Company. Harry enjoyed fishing and had many talents which included skilled leather work, airbrushing, flying and building radio controlled air planes, and building black powder guns. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Chan “CJ” Davis.
His survivors include his wife of eighteen years, Yvonne Davis of Madisonville; son, William “Bill” (Susie) Davis of Madisonville; daughter, Heather (Jacob) Gordon of Madisonville; grandsons, Matthew Ryan Cummins and Trevor Love; granddaughters, Emma Gordon and Megan (Ben) See; and great-grandson, Carden See.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Knight officiating and Donnie Carroll assisting. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. Military Honors will be conducted graveside by the United States Army and the Hopkins County Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Matthew Cummins, James Hanks, Tim Trimble, Jacob Gordon, Matthew Gordon, and Keith Starks. Honorary pallbearer is Eric Devine.
