Linda Howton, born on April 1, 1945, in Ky, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, remembered fondly as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and beloved pastor’s wife.
For twenty years, Linda served as a supervisor at Ottenheimer Manufacturing, where she not only excelled in her role but also built lasting relationships with her colleagues. Her commitment to her work mirrored her dedication to her family, where she was deeply cherished by all.
Linda was married to Rev. Donnie Howton for 65 wonderful years, exemplifying a bond of love and partnership that has inspired many. She is survived by five daughters: Debbie (Kenneth) Buckley of Princeton, KY, Teri (Duane) Burns of Madisonville, KY, Tami (Robert) Pritt of Dawson Springs, KY, Joni (Jason) Stuessel of Dawson Springs, KY, and Cindy Howton of Dawson Springs, KY. She is also survived by her son Nathan (Elyse) Howton of Hopkinsville, KY.
Her legacy continues through her eighteen grandchildren: Mikie, Chassy, Crissy, Morgan, Robbie, Bailey, Piper, Malachi, Claire, Titus, Leila, Jaxton, Donaven, Emmie, and Kullen, along with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will remember her fondly.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Owen Mitchell and Velma Franklin Mitchell, three brothers, two sisters, and two grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held at Dawson Springs Baptist Temple located at 15 4H Camp Rd., Dawson Springs, KY, on May 15, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again on May 16, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will take place on May 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Donnie Howton officiating. Burial will follow at Dunn Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Johnson, Robbie Rodriguez, Jaxton Stuessel, Titus Howton, Landon Pace, Donaven Colson, Malachi Howton and Kullen Colson.
Linda Howton will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
