Obituary
She was born on July 18, 1976, in Madisonville, KY, to Norma Young Hancock and David Hancock. She was formerly employed as a cook at the Veterans Center in Hanson and most recently a cook at Pride Avenue School in Madisonville. She loved reading. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. April was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her husband of twenty-seven years, Steve Hallum of Hanson; mother, Norma Young Hancock of Madisonville; father, David Hancock of Madisonville; daughter, Rebecca Hallum of Bardwell, KY; son, Donovan Hallum of Murray, KY; brother, David (Beth) Hancock, Jr. and Jason Hancock, both of Madisonville; niece, Kayla (Andrew) Cranor of Madisonville; nephew, Josh Hancock of Madisonville.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Pastor Tondra Daugherty officiating. Burial to follow at Hanson Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Andrew Cranor, Tommy Miller, David Hancock, Jason Hancock, Jeramie Hallum, and Daniel Blue.
