Julia Delores Knight, of Mortons Gap, KY, entered into eternal rest on March 10, 2025, at the age of 96.
She was born in White Plains, KY on May 18, 1928 to the late Clyde Henry Pearson and Mary Holland.
A devoted woman of God, she lived a life filled with faith, love, and grace, touching the hearts of all who knew her. She was the oldest living member of the Mortons Gap Christian Church. She had attended this church for over seventy years. She continued to attend church regularly until a year ago when her health would no longer allow her to attend.
Julia was a homemaker and cherished her family deeply, finding joy in their company and offering them unwavering love and support. Her warmth, kindness, and sweet spirit made her a beacon of light in the lives of those around her.
Her presence will be greatly missed, but her love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. While we grieve her passing, we also celebrate the incredible life she lived and take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the arms of her Savior,
Julia would want everyone to make the most important decision of their lives by accepting Christ as their Lord and Savior.
In addition to her parents, Julia is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Knight, her son Greg Knight, and her son in law, Leon Starks.
She is survived by her son David (JoAnn) Knight and her daughter Patty Starks all of Mortons Gap, KY; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A service to honor Julia’s life will be held at Mortons Gap Christian Church on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 1:00PM with Bro. Kevin Jett officiating and burial to follow at Old Salem Church Cemetery in Mortons Gap, KY.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 11:00 Am until service time at 1:00 PM at the church.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Knight, Jason Knight, Jeff Starks, Heath Mackey, Matt Rickard, and Micah McKnight.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her memory to MGCC Backpack Blessing program
