Jerald Wayne Stirsman, 80, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville.
He was born on September 8, 1944, in Central City, KY, to the late Lola Gladys Adkins Stirsman and Hubert Altha Stirsman. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He retired from General Electric. He enjoyed restoring cars and watching UK Basketball. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Jerald was a member of Richland Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Stirsman, Alpha Stirsman, Jr., Russell Stirsman, W.A. Stirsman, Ronnie “Papa Bear” Stirsman, and James “Jimmy” Stirsman; and his sisters, Marjorie Jennings and Linda Bagby.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-seven years, Mildred Capps Stirsman; daughter, Sherry (Mark) Stirsman Towe of Dawson Springs, KY; step-daughter, Allison (Erick) Graven of Louisville, KY; brother, Robert Stirsman; sisters, Jeanette Pearson, Betty Favell, and Mary Helen Oakley; grandchildren, Tyler (Kelley) Towe, and Carrie (Justin) Hallum; great-grandchildren, Freya Towe and Jace Hallum; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Lantrip officiating. Burial to follow at Yeargins Chapel Cemetery, 5736 US Hwy 62, Graham, KY.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Eric Graven, Justin Hallum, Tyler Towe, Mark Towe, Dustin Blue, and Trent Blue.
