Discussions will cover data relating to the effectiveness of the school district. The meeting will also include ideas for improvement.

There are times when too many people are ill to hold school. That’s the case in Muhlenberg County. There’s no classes today or tomorow, but there will be online assignments. The district says students can return after they have been fever-free for 24 hours, and the symptoms have weakened.
The Madisonville driver who ran through a traffic light, almost struck a police vehicle, and disregarded the officer’s lights and sirens is facing six charges. Just before midnight on Tuesday, Pablo Gregorio was arrested at 7-44 South Main. He could not prove that he had a driver’s license. Gregorio was in possession of a forged Guatamalan I-D.
Serving an arrest warrant can sometimes be a challenge. The MPD says one of the two persons being served last week raced out of a residence on Beaver Creek Drive . Dustin Suttle had several Hopkins County warrants. He was caught in a field after trying to escape on foot. Now he faces an additional charge of fleeing from the police.
A report by American Rivers found the Ohio River is the second most endangered waterway in the nation. Here is Michael Washburn with the Kentucky Waterways Alliance. The Ohio River Restoration Program Act would require monitoring and data collection, habitat restoration, and farm conservation.
The folks at Samaritan’s Purse who ran Operation Christmas Child want to thank those who participated in Madisonville. They say across the country, the project collected over 10-million shoebox gifts. For many children around the world, they say this was the first gift they have ever received, and is expression of God’s love.
