James Alfred Bratcher, age 78, of Providence, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY. Mr. Bratcher was born on April 11, 1946 in Charleston, KY to the late Beedie Ellis Bratcher and Mary Annis Burgess Bratcher. He worked at York manufacturing in Madisonville, KY for many years and was of the Christian faith.
Mr. Bratcher is survived by his wife ~ Rita Jennings Bratcher of Providence, KY; a step-daughter ~ Donna (Kenny) Lee of Madisonville, KY; a step-son ~ Bryan “Dukie” (Teresa) Moore of Charleston, KY; two sisters ~ Barbara (Dallas) Thomas and Mary (Wayne) Kirkwood both of Dawson Springs, KY; two brothers ~ Beedie Bratcher and Wayne (Brenda) Bratcher both of Madisonville, KY; seven step-grandchildren ~ Samantha Moore, Joshua Lee, Krystyna Rodgers, Lora Davis, Elizabeth Barlow, Zachary Lee and Alissa Powell and many step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for James Alfred Bratcher will be on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 11:00 A.M. until the 1:00 P.M. funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
Active Pallbearers will be: Kenny Lee, Matt Davis, Beedie Bratcher, Tyler Barlow, Lawrence Jennings and Michael Gray. Honorary Pallbearer is Wayne Bratcher.
