Gloria Anthus McGregor Lamb, 82, of Madisonville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Madisonville Health and Rehab.
She was born on March 10, 1942, in Whitey, KY, to the late Golena Davis McGregor and Orvil McGregor. She was formerly employed as the circulation manager for the Messenger. She loved music, gardening, camping, and loved her animals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Gloria was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Pork Chop” Lamb; brother, Bobby McGregor and Levon “Von” McGregor; grandson, Hunter Lamb; and great-granddaughter, Dakota JaCinto.
Survivors include her sons, Marlon Lamb and Randall (Pam) Lamb, both of Madisonville; sister, Caria Rhye of Nortonville, KY; grandchildren, Jessica JaCinto of Madisonville; Ashley (Heath) Dickerson of Madisonville, Terena Lamb of Madisonville, and Austin (Jasmin) Lamb of Madisonville; great-grandchildren, Emma Jones, Allen Jones, Levi Lamb, Donovan JaCinto, and Aiden Dickerson; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Hayes officiating. Burial to follow at Creekmur Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Austin Lamb, David McGregor, Richard Gordon, Jamie Wagonor, Timothy Britt, and Jonathan David Britt. Honorary pallbearers are Allen Jones, Levi Lamb, Aiden Dickerson, Donovan JaCinto, Heath Dickerson, and Jeremy Young.
