27MADISONVILLE 0620 The Madisonville Police are breaking in their new mobile command post.  Buds RV at 12-hundred McCoy Avenue provided support and assistance.  The M-P-D says it will be used for everyting from emergency situations to community events.  The mobile command post will allow the police to monitor and manage criminal activities over extended periods where critical information can be gathered, analyzed, and distributed in real time.

36HOPKINS COUNTY 0620 Today at 12:45, there will be funeral procession for the 10-year-old female German Shepard who passed away this week after serving Hopkins County for the past seven years.  K-9 Nala and Deputy Brad Ross were part of the Narcotics Task Force.  Nala passed away due to a sudden medical emergency.  The sheriff’s office is grateful to the Pat Collins Fraternal Order of Police Lodge for the burial site, Dr. Jared Tapp of the Pennyrile Animal Clinic, Barnett Strother Funeral Home for the donation of a casket and for Knight and Sons Monument for their services.

32Kentucky 0620 Criminal referrals are being sent to the Justice Department for Hunter Biden and James Biden. On Judicial Watch, Kentucky Representative James Comer said the new administration will have the chance to prosecute.

17WEBSTER COUNTY 0608 A former member of the Webster County High School softball team is now wearing a national championship ring.  Karlie Keeney was a pitcher for the University of Oklahoma team that won the national title..  Keeney was a graduate student who spent four years at Liberty University before transferring to Oklahoma.

37HOPKINS COUNTY 0513 The new sheriff’s office will be out near the archery complex.  Judge Executive Jack Whitfield says the new location will be more efficient and better positioned to serve the county.

Whitfield says funds from the American Rescue Plan Act will pay for most of the construction.  They hope to be in the building in about a year.

0627 20WESTERN KENTUCKY 0614 The Green River Area Development District invites you to a virtual public hearing on the Kentucky State Plan on Aging. They say feedback is very important.   The plan goes into effect on October 1st.  The zoom event will be on Thursday, the 27th at noon Central Time.  Search Kentucky State Plan on Aging.

29MUHLENBERG COUNTY 0610 Here’s an announcement about donations to help Muhlenberg residents affected by the tornado. Over the next few months, volunteers with the Muhlenberg County Long-Term Disaster Recovery Committee will provide funds to help families with specific needs that are not met by insurance, FEMA, and other assistance providers. 24MADISONVILLE A Madisonville team in Orlando for the national competition.  The  Pennyrile Gymnastics South Prep Level 1-point-1 team is undefeated .  Head coach LeeAnn Flener the team is to be at the Amateur Athletic Union Gymnastics Open National Championship.
